GENERAL INFORMATION - Terms and Conditions

 

1. Reservations and Payments

Please be informed that any reservation at our accommodation can only be made by individuals aged 18 or over. After we confirm the pre-reservation, you will receive an email with all the detailed reservation information and the Deposit Policy.

Reservation Policy:

Your reservation must be accompanied by an initial payment of the agreed portion of the costs for your stay, and implies acceptance of these General Conditions:

– For any reservation involving stays of 1 night or more, a 50% advance payment will be required. – For reservations made more than 30 days in advance, the deposit amount is subject to change.

The remaining payment will be made at the accommodation upon receipt of the key.

In the event of a no-show, cancellation, or rescheduling, the rules established in the Cancellation Policy presented both at the time of reservation and on the website must be observed.

Cancellation of reservations may result in the loss of a partial or total amount of the reservation in favor of Casa do Campinho (Luminatix) according to the Cancellation Policy of the chosen rate.

Payment Methods:

We accept payment via bank transfer, cash, MBway.

If you choose to pay by bank transfer, the reservation is only considered confirmed upon receipt of the transfer confirmation, which must be sent to our email at reservascasadocampinho@gmail.com;

Otherwise, Casa do Campinho reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

The total price of the stay will be charged per night, regardless of whether the guest actually used the accommodation.

The applicable rates will be the agreed prices or the prices established in the price list in effect on the date of the reservation request.

VAT:

All prices indicated on our website or elsewhere for accommodation and services at Casa do Campinho include VAT (the general sales tax in Portugal). If VAT rates change, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly.

Our invoices are issued by default as end-consumers. If you require an invoice with your fiscal information, please request it at the time of your reservation or at check-in.

2. Cancellation Policy

For cancellations occurring between 30 days and the day before the check-in date, 50% of the total reservation amount will be charged. The client can cancel at no cost up to 30 days before the check-in date.

In case of a no-show, 100% of the reservation amount will be charged.

If you do not provide a valid email or contact number at the time of pre-reservation to receive communications from the owners or team members, they are authorized to cancel and re-sell the accommodation(s) in question.

If you do not check-in by 23:00 on the date indicated on the reservation confirmation and do not provide notice by then, Casa do Campinho may cancel the reservation and re-sell the reserved accommodation, for which Casa do Campinho cannot be held responsible.

Failure to check-in on the reserved arrival date will result in a penalty as detailed in the Cancellation Policy of the reserved rate.

If a guest opts to shorten their stay or check-out early, a penalty fee will be applied, as detailed in the Cancellation Policy associated with the reserved rate.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations in cases where it is determined that the client provided incorrect data, engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activities, or if the reservations contain or result from an error or mistake.

If you do not provide a valid email or contact number at the time of pre-reservation to receive communications from the owners or team members, they are authorized to cancel and re-sell the accommodation(s) in question.

We do not expect to make changes to your reservation; however, sometimes issues arise and reservations must be altered or canceled. We will only alter or cancel your reservation if necessary to carry out or complete essential repair or renovation work, or for other unforeseen reasons at the time you made your reservation, which are beyond our reasonable control.

If we need to alter or cancel your reservation, we will make reasonable efforts to offer you a suitable alternative reservation. If we are unable to offer a suitable alternative, or if you do not accept the alternative we offer, we will refund the full amount you paid for the reservation, but you will not have any other liability for any other loss you may suffer.

3. General Rules

Children: Children of any age are allowed. – The stay of children up to 3 years old is free. – The stay of children aged 4 to 17 years inclusive incurs an additional cost of EUR 50.00 per child, per night. – Crib: Free, subject to availability.

Smoking:

Smoking is only permitted in outdoor areas. We request that you adhere to this rule as it is a legal requirement in Portugal, as well as for health and hygiene reasons.

Pets:

Pets are only allowed at Casa Sanuk within Casa do Campinho.

It is necessary to inform us that you will be bringing your pet at the time of reservation.

There is an additional cost of €30 per stay.

Rest Period and Noise Regulation:

In consideration of other guests, please respect those who wish to sleep. Therefore, please note that the quiet hours are between 23:00 and 07:00. Parties are prohibited unless specifically authorized. Between 23:00 and 07:00, activities that cause noise likely to disturb other guests are not permitted, in accordance with the General Noise Regulation.

Hygiene Items:

Please do not use towels/bed linen to clean the floor, shoes, or kitchen items. Please do not take bath towels to the beach or pool.

 

4. Arrivals / Departures

Check-in:

Check-in is between 15:00 and 23:00. Please inform us in advance of your check-in time.

Early check-in is subject to availability. To request check-in before 15:00, please contact us at +351 914 855 206 or via email at reservascasadocampinho@gmail.com

For arrivals after 23:00, please inform us in advance to arrange the best way to facilitate your arrival.

Check-out:

You must check out by 11:30.

Early check-out:

The property reserves the right to charge a fee for early departure if the guest leaves before the original departure date.

Late check-out is subject to availability and additional charges may apply. If you wish to keep your room past 11:30, please contact us.

 

​5. Accommodation Maintenance:

Casa do Campinho ensures room hygiene with our cleaning staff who carry out a thorough cleaning and disinfection before the guests' arrival. Additionally, for stays longer than 4 nights, bed linen and towels will be changed. Regarding towels, in the interest of environmental conservation, please do not place them on the floor for replacement unless absolutely necessary.

6. Data Protection:

The confidentiality and privacy of all personal information provided by guests will be maintained. Data is entered into the Casa do Campinho system for reservations and contact information. In accordance with European data protection legislation, clients can rectify or delete their data whenever they wish. 7. Civil Liability:

Casa do Campinho is not responsible for damage caused by guests, losses, theft, or accidents inside or outside the accommodation. If guests leave the key in the lock and a technician needs to be called, the respective charges will be borne by the guests. Additionally, we are not responsible for the following: – We are not responsible for personal belongings that may disappear within our premises. – We are not liable for loss of data provided by the Client in the case of electronic transmission of payment data, being only responsible in cases of negligent behavior. – We will not be liable to the Client in the event of a delay in making the accommodation available due to force majeure. Force majeure will be considered as circumstances that make it impossible or more difficult to make the accommodation available, such as strikes, blockades, natural disasters, accidents at the accommodation or the property.

8. Our Right of Access:
In addition to daily cleaning services, our staff or maintenance team may need to access your accommodation if there is an unforeseen problem, to investigate a complaint you have made, or to perform certain routine property checks. If this occurs, we will do our best to inform you in advance of the date and time when access will be needed.

9. Our Right to Evict: 
We may terminate our contract with you and ask you to vacate your accommodation immediately if:
– We believe that you or your company have breached these terms and conditions;
– We consider that your behavior or that of your company poses a risk to the safety of our clients or our staff;
– Complaints of antisocial or unacceptable behavior are made against you or your company;
– You or your company cause irreparable damage to the property or its contents;
– You exceed the maximum occupancy limit of your accommodation.

10. Miscellaneous:
Guests may not use the accommodation for commercial or immoral purposes. Casa do Campinho reserves the right to modify the information contained on its website for online reservations at any time and is the sole owner of its content. In the case that guests have requested a specific accommodation, every effort will be made to fulfill their wishes, but we reserve the right to change the initially assigned accommodation.

11. If You Have a Problem or Complaint/Complaint Book:
We take great care to ensure that our property is of the highest standard. However, if you have a problem with your accommodation, please contact us immediately and give us the opportunity to resolve it. We will work with you to ensure that all complaints are investigated and resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible. A complaint book is available, either in physical or electronic form.

12. General Provisions:
The Terms & Conditions govern the Client’s stay at Casa do Campinho and the use of the accommodation by the Client.
The invalidity of one or more of the previous provisions does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the commercial and legal intentions of the parties or, if this is not possible, by the applicable Portuguese legislation.
